University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center’s Five Star Sensation, presented by Huntington, returns this summer to showcase the culinary arts while raising vital funds for cancer patients and their families. This exclusive evening of food and wine will be held on June 28, 2025, from 7 to 11 p.m. at Cuyahoga Community College in Highland Hills, Ohio. Chef Vinnie Cimino, Chef/Partner of Cordelia and James Beard Award Nominee, will again lead the culinary talent as Host Chef of 50 acclaimed chefs and vintners from around the world.
An impressive roster of chefs and vintners have generously devoted their time to Five Star, showcasing their culinary talents biannually since 1987 with the goal of making a meaningful impact on the quality of life and future of cancer patients. In that time, Five Star Sensation has raised more than $23 million for UH Seidman Cancer Center.
“It’s an incredible event,” said Chef Cimino. “Cancer runs in my family, including my grandfather who we lost not long ago. Anything we can do to further the science that cures cancers and makes life easier for patients, I want to do.”
This year’s Honorary Chairs are Jane and Lee Seidman and Theodoros Teknos, MD, President, and Scientific Director, UH Seidman Cancer Center and the Jane and Lee Seidman Chair in Cancer Innovation.
“The importance of this event cannot be overstated,” said Dr. Teknos. “Funds raised will directly support critical services for the care of our patients, including innovative therapies and clinical trials. Each ticket purchased and every dish enjoyed contributes to a brighter future for those facing the challenges of cancer.”
Under the leadership of co-chairs Ida Haber, Lisa and Kevin Chernikoff, and Margaret Singerman, UH aims to raise $1.5 million to support patient experience, nursing, research & technology and immunotherapy. New this year, under French Quarter-themed tents, are pastry tasting stations throughout the evening, in addition to a late-night tent that features a DJ and dancing, VIP cabanas for top sponsors, surprises and more.
